The certification of the election results in Michigan are under scrutiny after two Republicans refused at first to certify the county’s election results. After two hours, they both voted to certify the results.
One of the concerns was the large number of “out of balance” precincts in Detroit. Being out of balance means the number of ballots do not match the number of votes in the precinct.
The board stated in its agenda packet that Detroit had a lower number of “out of balance” precincts in November than they did in the August election.
Included in the board agenda are statements by people who have alleged impropriety during the count.
