MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mega Millions jackpot rose to its third highest total ever on Tuesday, a whopping $830 million.
According to the Mega Millions website, the odds of winning are more than 302 million to one.
Michiana lotto players outside the Exxon Mobil on Douglas Road seemed to all have a similar plan with what they would do with the money if they won.
"If I did win that money, there would be a lot of positive things that I would do as far as the community goes," said South Bend resident Matthew Woods. "And I got family members I can help out and things."
Other hopeful millionaires agreed that donating some of their winnings would be the right thing to do.
"I know for sure I'm going to take care of my family," said Vardarrell Green, who purchased a lotto ticket in Mishawaka. "And, you know what? I'm going to do something for the homeless."
Proceeds from the Hoosier Lottery benefit the Build Indiana Fund, the Teacher's Retirement Fund, and pensions for State Police and firefighters.
The winning numbers from Tuesday night's drawing are: 29-63-66-7-60 a Megaball 15.
