SOUTH BEND, Ind.—- September 15th is Hunger Action Day.
76,000 people across Northern Indiana are facing food insecurity, over 22,000 of those being children.
The silent epidemic, hunger, could be impacting anyone you know or love. ABC57s Jackie Bauer checked out how two local organizations are bringing what they can to the table to curb hunger, and raise awareness for Hunger Action Month.
They have seen a more than 40% increased need this year likely due to inflation are asking folks to bring what they can to the table rather it be time, donations of both food and hygiene and cleaning products, or even a dollar could provide up to 5 meals or 8 Ibs. of food.
