MDHHS announces free COVID-19 tests for at-risk communities

LANSING, Mich. -- The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has announced an expanded partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation to provide 300,000 free COVID-19 tests to 60,000 households in vulnerable communities.

Residents are able to request and receive one test kit containing five individual tests once per month in July and August.

Individuals seeking to order tests should input their ZIP code to see if they live in a qualifying area.

Each household will receive their test within a week of ordering.

Eligible individuals in vulnerable communities can order free COVID-19 tests at www.AccessCovidTests.org

Those without internet access can contact 211 for assistance with ordering tests.
