MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. - Two Marshall County brothers were arrested on a number of charges for illegally practicing medicine in the county, according to the Indiana Attorney General’s Office.
David Tanner, 55, was charged with practicing medicine without a license and practicing nursing while license is suspended or revoked.
Daniel Tanner, 52, was charged with aiding, inducing or causing both practicing medicine without a license and practicing nursing while license is suspended in addition to issuing invalid prescriptions for legend drugs.
The charges stem from practices by the Tanner brothers at Concierge Medicine of Marshall County.
Daniel Tanner, a nurse practitioner and owner and operator of Concierge Medicine, allegedly employed his brother as a nurse despite the fact that David’s nursing license has been indefinitely suspended since 2005.
When Daniel was out of the office, David practiced as a nurse at the facility, including examining patients, taking vital signs, recommending medications and diagnosing patients, according to reports.
He also allegedly prescribed medication using his brother’s DEA number.
