Marcellus man arrested following search warrant for drugs in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - A Marcellus man was arrested on numerous drug and weapons charges following a search warrant in Cass County on Wednesday, according to the Michigan State Police Southwest Enforcement Team.

On Wednesday, detectives performed a search warrant in the 16000 block of Marcellus Highway after illegal drug activity was discovered during a coordinated traffic stop.

Two people were detained during the traffic stop.

During the search of the residence, a 33-year-old Marcellus man was arrested on the following charges:

  • multiple counts of delivery of methamphetamine
  • one count of delivery of a schedule II drug
  • one count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine
  • felony firearm
  • felon in possession of a firearm
  • carrying concealed weapon in a motor vehicle
  • maintaining a drug house
  • tampering with evidence

Charges will be sought against the second person detained, detectives said.
