Many park facilities in Knox are now open
KNOX, Ind. -- The city of Knox has reopened many of their park facilities, but a few restrictions still remain in place.
Mayor Dennis Estok said walking trails, shelters, playground and exercise equipment, bathrooms and the skate park are now open. The splash pad has also reopened but has some restrictions. There can be no more than 25 children at a time and it will only be available from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.
There are also some other park amenities available but only for limited use. Basketball courts will only be used for practice and conditioning only and will not allow team competitions.
For the baseball and softball fields, they will only allow practice and conditioning. They will not allow the use of the dugouts and team competitions. Drinking fountains will remain closed.
