UPDATE: The Saint Joseph County Fire Territory reports the large structure fire occurred in the 55000 block of Pine Road.
Multiple fire departments responded to the scene due to the size of the building and resources required.
Fire officials say the building is a total loss.
No injuries were reported for civilians or emergency personnel.
ORIGINAL STORY: ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Firefighters with the St. Joseph County Fire Territory, along with many other agencies, are responding to a large structure fire Thursday morning.
The structure is located on Pine Road, near Ardmore Trail and authorities have confirmed it was a pole barn near the massive facility that houses the Indiana Invaders that caught fire.
"Please avoid this area until the scene is under control and cleared," fire crews said.
"Further information will be provided at a later time. Thank you to all agencies responding to assist."
