Community Build underway at Kathryn Park
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Today the water tower that had served the town of Lakeville since 1962 was dismantled and demolished.
Due to the size and location of the structure, the metal had to be cut into pieces with welding torches, and then the pieces were lowered to the ground by crane. Even with several workers high atop the tower, and more working the crane, those on the ground said that it would be, at least, an all-day job.
The new water tower is already built and in use, and the town of Lakeville expects it to last them the next 30 to 50 years.
