LaGrange County Sheriff announces scholarship program is open for applications

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. – LaGrange County Sheriff Jeff Campos announced that the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association will again be awarding college scholarships.

The Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship is reserved for qualified high school seniors and college students who are pursuing a degree in criminal justice studies.

There will be approximately 40 separate $750 scholarships awarded to qualified candidates around the state of Indiana.

To qualify for the noted scholarship, applicants must be an Indiana resident, be a current member of the association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current association member, attend an Indiana college or university, major in a law enforcement field and enroll as a full-time student with at least 12 credit hours per semester.

Applications for this scholarship can be located at the sheriff’s office or can be requested from your high school counselor.

To be considered, all applications must be completed and received by the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association prior to April 1.
