ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Wednesday afternoon, St. Joseph County Prosecutor, Kenneth Cotter, announced his retirement and his endorsement of Amy Cressy, current Chief Deputy Prosecutor, to be his successor.
Cressy emphasized her experience along with her administrative and courtroom skills.
"you've got to have experience in the position." Said Cressy. "You've got to have a dedication to the position, and you've got to have someone who is both direct but also has common sense and compassion, accountability means proportionality."
Cressy will be on Indiana's Primary Election ballot this May.
