SOUTH BEND, Ind — June 2026 was the second warmest on record, 10.06" of rain, was just shy of the all-time record of 10.86" set in 1993. This is also the fourth wettest month ever in South Bend with four days when more than an inch of rainfall.

South Bend ended the Month of May with drought concerns and a rainfall -2 inch deficit and ended the month with a +6 inch surplus.

Temperatures, the month started dry and toasty and ended steamy with extreme heat and humidity. But the middle of the month was fairly mild so the month will average-out near normal. 

Severe weather June 11 produced 6 Tornadoes locally, with a total of 12 so far this year in Michiana.
