Indiana Dinosaur Museum adds coffin racing to their second HalloweenFest
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Indiana Dinosaur Museum held its second annual HalloweenFest.
The museum wanted to be different this year and added a new activity for families in costume to enjoy, "There's a lot of Halloween noise going on, and we want to do something unique. So, we had this idea of having a coffin race, you pull each other in a coffin," said Mark Tarner, the Indiana Dinosaur Museum Founder.
The winners of the coffin race were Emerson and Ronen who beat an all-adult team in their heat.
The day also featured pumpkin carving, cornhole, and even face painting.
The event made sure the focus was about families with an estimated 3,000 people attending the event.
"There's scare places and there's Zoo boo and there's trick or treating. We just wanted to be different and it's been really nice," said Tarner.
During the evening, they featured a haunted trail, a haunted wagon ride, and a haunted house.
