INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a draft version of the state's Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan is now available online for review and public comment.
The intent of the plan is to increase the availability of fast and reliable EV charging infrastructure across the state to reduce range anxiety and make owning and operating an electric vehicle more convenient.
Funding will come from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program, part of the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Written public comment on the plan can be submitted online and will be accepted through August 20.
INDOT is required to submit the plan to the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation for federal review by August 1.
