From just above average today to the 80s later this week
PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- Beryl's three to eight inches of rainfall are causing rivers to rise all across Michiana.
Meteorologist Kolton Woods went to the Yellow River in Plymouth this morning to examine the river levels and the forecast of the river flooding over the next couple of days.
Overall, the outlook is promising. Most rivers are currently peaking today and are expected to recede by this weekend.
The highest the flooding stage likely gets across Michiana is a minor flood stage, which is the second-best category.
Action stage is the best, then minor flood stage, and then moderate flood stage is the second-worst category, but a major flood stage is the worst category.
No rivers in Michiana will exceed a minor flood, which is very good news for houses and businesses that are situated near the rivers.
All rivers will lower in water levels by this weekend, except for the St. Joseph River in Three Rivers since that will increase to minor flooding with the peak on Saturday.
Stay with ABC57 News for continuing updates on river levels across Michiana.
