Groundbreaking for the new Woodfield Crossing in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka hosts a groundbreaking today for the brand-new Woodfield Crossing. The crossing will host more than 50 affordable homes, including Habitat for Humanity houses and market rate homes.

The neighborhood is part of an initiative call the Tri-County Workforce Homeownership Initiative. This group is a regional partnership between Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County, Habitat for Humanity of Elkhart County, and the Habitat Affiliate in Marshall County.

The three groups plan to build 126 affordable homes all together, with 78 in St. Joseph County, 36 in Elkhart County, and 12 in Marshall County.
