Grant funds adoption and care of HSSJC's longest resident Tilly

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The longest dog resident at the Humane Society of St. Joseph County has found her forever home.

Tilly has found her new owner in Stephen Budzinski, her long-term foster.

The adoption process had been facilitated by a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, an organization dedicated to helping senior dogs.

The grant was able to provide Tilly with a year's worth of prescription food, medications, and flea/heartworm prevention without putting financial burdens on Stephen.

Stephen is hoping that this adoption inspires others to adopt a senior dog.
