Clay Fire SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Clay Fire Department reports Tuesday afternoon, they were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 5300 block of Bajer Lane. When they arrived, they found a working fire in the garage.
A handline was deployed to knock down the flames, while other crews conducted a search of the residence to ensure all occupants were accounted for.
Once the fire was extinguished, Clay fire crews checked for any hidden fire or fire extension.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
