Galien River County Park in New Buffalo closed until further notice

Berrien County NEW BUFFALO, Mich. -- Berrien County Parks and Recreation officials say the damage to Galien River County Park from the Aug. 27 storm system was so severe that the park will be closed for the foreseeable future.
"Galien River County Park in New Buffalo will remain closed until further notice as a result of the Aug. 27 storm," Berrien County officials said. "Damage occurred to the Tree Canopy Walkway, Lower Boardwalk, and other areas. We will post updates as new information becomes available."
