Rain, cooler midweek
Michiana is still expecting snowy conditions this morning with accumulations totaling just below 1" on grassy and low-lying surfaces by noon. Out the door, the accumulation won't matter as much as the 40-50 mph gusts and how the wind and snow may reduce visibility to less than a mile in some places (mainly by the lakeshore). The wintry weather ends midday and our region will see more sunshine in the afternoon and evening with highs in the upper 30s. Tonight, mostly clear skies will lower temperatures back below freezing into the upper 20s. Friday is much milder, landing in the mid 50s albeit with more cloud cover overhead. The weekend will feature on/off rain and snow with the first period starting late tomorrow night and ending before the sun comes up on Saturday. More showers enter the picture Sunday afternoon.
Today: AM snow showers. High 38.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 28.
Friday: Partly cloudy. High 54.
Saturday: AM clouds/ PM sun. High 40.
