SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- 8th ranked Notre Dame will play their final home game of the regular season this Saturday against the University of Virginia.
The Cavaliers are five and four this season, coming off a big win against the previously 18th ranked Pittsburgh.
Saturday’s game is Senior Day for the Irish, and Notre Dame will be without star defensive tackle Howard Cross due to an ankle sprain he suffered in Saturday night’s win against Florida State.
“Yea, you’ll see Donny Hinish as you’ve seen the past couple of weeks. But you’ll also see more of Gabe Rubio." said Head Coach Marcus Freeman. "Gabe can play three tech or nose. He can play both of our tackle positions, and you could see Sean Sevillano and Armel Mukam, and so all five of those guys, including Rylie.”
Kickoff is 3:30 this Saturday. The Irish look to keep their college football playoff hopes alive with a win over the Cavaliers.
