SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi and Four Winds Casinos handed out 1000 Thanksgiving meals to families on Tuesday.
A Four Winds representative noted the importance of making sure everyone can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal during the holiday.
“I've been here every year and, I tell you, it's phenomenal. To be the person standing in front of you is very humbling. And, to continue to do this even during the pandemic is awesome. But you know, to work and be a part of the Pokagon Band and Four Winds, I'm just really blessed that we're able to do these things for the Michiana area,” said Scott Brewer, Senior Vice President of Four Wind Casinos.
Each Thanksgiving box contained a ham, macaroni and cheese, canned corn, potatoes, cranberry jelly, and a pumpkin roll.
