Four people detained in Cass County drug investigation

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – Four people were detained during a search for suspected illegal drugs at a residence in Wayne Township on Thursday, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team served a search warrant on an address in the 52000 block of Twin Lakeview Dr. on suspicion that the selling and use of illegal drugs was taking place, reports said.

Detectives detained four people at the residence.

A search of the residence found a large amount of methamphetamine and evidence of the selling of methamphetamine, detectives said.

A 56-year-old female was arrested on the charge of possession of methamphetamine, detectives said.

Detectives are submitting charges to the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office on a 56-year-old male for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and maintaining a drug house, detectives said.

This investigation is ongoing.
