Fatal two-vehicle crash in Plain Township
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. --A fatal two-vehicle crash is currently being investigated by Kosciusko County Officials, in Plain Township, on C.R. 150 West, approximately 1500 feet south of C.R. 400 north.
Emergency personnel and Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the two-vehicle accident on June 29, at 5:35 p.m.
After arrival, emergency personnel located a 2024 Tesla, driven by Anish Daita, and a 2007 Chevrolet, driven by Joseph Criswell, both involved in the crash.
Investigation determined Daita was northbound on C.R. 150 west, was left of the center and struck Criswell's vehicle, who was southbound on C.R. 150 west, which resulted in a head-on collision.
The 31-year-old Daita of Warsaw, suffered internal injuries and was taken to Lutheran Fort Wayne.
Two other adult passengers in the Tesla were treated for minor bruising and lacerations at the scene and released.
The 44-year-old Chevrolet driver, Criswell of Milford, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Six other juvenile passengers in the Chevrolet were treated for different injuries, with two female juveniles flown to Fort Wayne Lutheran, one juvenile female was treated and released at the scene and two male juveniles treated at the scene for their injuries.
This crash is still currently under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office FACT team.
