Fatal single vehicle crash on Bellows Road

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – Around 3:47 pm Friday, a fatal crash was reported on Bellows Road near Idlewild Street to the Cass County Sheriff's office.

Chase Miller, 28 year old Elkhart resident, was north bound on Bellows Road when his vehicle left the roadway and went into a pond.

Miller was pulled from the pond and CPR was started, but after 30 minutes EMS was unable to revive him.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is believed he was not wearing a seat belt, and it is undetermined if intoxicating substances were involved at this this time.

This case remains under investigation.
