Fatal crash between vehicle and pedestrian in Baroda

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.-- On Wednesday, Oct. 30, at approximately 7:22 p.m. the Baroda-Lake Twp. Police Department was called to Shawnee Road near Spitzke Road for reports of a traffic crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

The vehicle was eastbound on Shawnee Road as the pedestrian was walking that same direction.

The driver of 2007 Subaru was an 86-year-old male from Berrien Springs. The driver and his two passengers were not injured.

The pedestrian was a 56-year-old male from Baroda. 

He was transported by ambulance and later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The accident is still under investigation.
