Fatal house fire under investigation in Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR, Mich.—Officials are investigating a fatal house fire that occurred on April 6, according to the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety.

First responders were sent to a home in the 100 block of S. Hull around 4:35 a.m. on April 6.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the home to be fully engulfed in flames and the roof had already collapsed inward.

A witness reported to firefighters that two people were possibly in the home.

Once the fire was under control, officers searched the home and found two victims.

The fire remains under investigation and police have not released the names of the victims.
