Driver loses control on icy road, crashes into semi-truck on M62
CASS COUNTY, Mich.—A driver lost control of his car on an icy road and crashed into a semi-truck on Wednesday, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to a crash involving injuries on M62 near Kingsbury Street in LaGrange Township around 1:30 p.m.
A 38-year-old Dowagiac man was traveling northbound on M62 when he lost control of his car on the icy roadway, according to the sheriff’s office.
His car crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck driven by a 68-year-old Wakarusa man, police said.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
Both drivers wore seatbelts during the crash and police do not believe that alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
