18-year-old killed in crash confirmed to be Saint Joseph High School senior
SOUTH BEND, Ind.-The 18-year-old killed in a crash on Auten Road Friday was about to begin her senior year at St Joseph High School in South Bend.
Beverly Ditsch and her father, Joshua Ditsch, both died in the crash.
Investigators say they were traveling in a minivan when they crashed into a FedEx truck Friday morning.
The driver of the FedEx truck was not seriously injured.
St Joseph High School sent a letter to the families of students confirming the loss and expressing sympathy.
The school will have a special prayer service Monday and will provide counseling for students.
Her visitation will be held at Palmer Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 23 from 12:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christan Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
