Crash between SUV and bicyclists leaves two dead in LaGrange County

LAGRANGE, Ind. -- Two people are dead following a crash between an SUV and a pair of bicyclists in LaGrange County.

Authorities say the call came in at roughly 8:16 p.m. on Feb. 26 for a "crash involving injury" in the 5400 block of W. 100 S. in LaGrange.

"When officers arrived on scene, two victims were found to be deceased," the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office said. "The investigation remains active by Indiana State Police and the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office."

The SUV involved was a blue 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by a 20-year-old LaGrange man. He was not injured. 

The victims have been identified as 57-year-old Lavern Yoder (male) and 58-year-old Mattie Yoder (female). The same home address is listed for both victims.
