Happy Mother’s Day Sunday! Today is cool and rainy.
If you’re giving flowers to mom this year, make sure she holds off a few more days to plant them outdoors to avoid frost. This week there is a gradual warming trend, but it’s still cool today. Temperatures top out at just 48 degrees this afternoon.
The first half of the day is rainy, with more scattered rain showers through the afternoon and evening. After rain wraps up this evening, clouds move out, giving an opportunity for temperatures to fall into the mid 30s. This means frost is possible Monday morning.
The week stays mostly dry, and temperatures slowly warm through it.
Monday and Tuesday’s highs are in the 50s, with lows in the 30s. The last frosty night looks to be Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, highs are in the 60s, and we’ll continue to climb to the 70s by next weekend.
Today: Rain, becoming scattered by afternoon. Breezy. High 48.
Tonight: Clearing skies. Frost possible. Low 35.
Monday: Mostly sunny. High 54.
Tuesday: Sunny. High 56.
