A Starke County community is mourning after a crash involving an ambulance claimed the life of a paramedic and seriously injured another.
The accident happened Saturday in Starke County when investigators say a vehicle crashed into the ambulance.
Michael Wilcox was killed in the crash and Brandy Salita was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
While a full investigation of the crash is underway, Wilcox is being remembered as a hero.
