Coloma to host final "Pop-Ups in the Park" of the Summer

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. --The Coloma Elementary School's Literacy Team will host its final "Pop-Ups in the Park" Wednesday, Jul. 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pop-Ups in the Park is an initiative to encourage Coloma Elementary School students to learn to love reading.

This program inspires students to read more while they're away from school, in order to prevent learning loss, a phenomenon that can take up to 34 percent of acquired knowledge from students, while they're away from school over the summer.

This event is located at Randall Park at S. Church Street and Tannery Dr. Coloma, MI 49038.
