Catch a Christmas entertainment marathon at The REES
PLYMOUTH, Ind. - The historic REES Theatre is hosting seven days of themed Christmas entertainment through December.

Saturday, Dec. 9, 7 p.m. – The Maxinkuckee Singers’ “Mistletoe & Magic” Concert, featuring a live nativity scene. The evening will also feature a live nativity scene to promote the reason for this holiday season. Bring your entire family to what is sure to be an evening filled with singing and hot chocolate.
Sunday, Dec. 10, 2 p.m. – “The Grinch” for the Family Sunday Matinee. Inside a snowflake exists the magical land of Whoville, wherein live the Whos, an almost-mutated sort of Munchkin-like people who all love Christmas. Just outside of their beloved town lives the Grinch (Jim Carrey), a nasty creature that hates Christmas and plans to steal it from the Whos, which he equally dislikes. Little Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) decides to befriend the Grinch. Rated: PG. Adult tickets are $5. Children 12-and-under are free with an accompanying adult.
Tuesday, Dec. 12, 7 p.m. – “T’is the Season” concert with Andy Leftwich & Team. Four-time Grammy winning instrumentalist Andy Leftwich began playing the fiddle at the age of six and began playing professionally at 15. After joining Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Andy completed a solo album, recorded two critically acclaimed albums in the trio Three Ring Circle, and built an impressive list of studio credits, lending his talents to Steven Curtis Chapman, Keith and Kristyn Getty, Dailey & Vincent, and many more. This free concert is sponsored by the Grace Baptist Church.
Friday, Dec. 15, 7:30 p.m. – “Bad Moms Christmas” is the Date Night movie (18-and-over). A Bad Moms Christmas follows our three under-appreciated and over-burdened women as they rebel against the challenges and expectations of Christmas. And as if creating a more perfect holiday for their families wasn't hard enough, they must do it all while hosting and entertaining their own mothers. By the end of the journey, our moms will redefine how to make the holidays special for all and discover a closer relationship with their mothers. Tickets are $5. Rated: R.
Saturday, Dec. 16, 7:30 p.m. - Autumn Leed & the Dead Broke Ponies, “If Wishes Come True” tour with special guest Hunter Davis of Argos. Autumn has spent the past 30 years performing in bands and recording in Nashville, Tenn. Autumn has released two EPs, her latest being "What a Heart Will Do for Love." She also charted a Top 40 song on Billboard's Independent music charts with "If Wishes Came True.” Autumn and her band, The Dead Broke Ponies, will be performing some holiday hits with a hometown flair. Opening for Autumn will be Hunter Davis, the 2023 Argos High School talent show winner and his banjo. General admission tickets are $20 and $40 for the balcony and a band meet and greet session.
Sunday, Dec. 17, 2 p.m. – “Miracle on 34th Street” (1994), Family Movie Matinee. Six-year-old Susan Walker (Mara Wilson) is skeptical of the Christmas Santa Claus, a trait she perhaps learned from her mother, Dorey (Elizabeth Perkins). When tasked with hiring the Macy’s Santa, Dorey enlists a man with the curious name of Kris Kringle (Richard Attenborough) who claims to be Santa himself. A young lawyer, along with Susan and Dorey, comes to his defense. Adult tickets are $5/12-and-under free with an accompanying adult.
Friday, Dec. 22, 7:30 p.m. – “The Star” animated movie. Our second annual family pajama event. A small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a lovable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become accidental heroes in the greatest story ever told - the first Christmas.
