Car pursuit on U.S. 20 ends in crash and arrest

The woman, Amber Pace, was arrested on multiple offenses after she fled the scene of a traffic stop initiated by a LaPorte County Deputy.
The pursuit continued on foot after the woman’s car struck a tire deflation device, planted by a sergeant, and struck a concrete median on Michigan Boulevard.
Offers caught up to the woman and took her into custody shortly after. Pace was charged with two felonies, including escape and resisting law enforcement, and two misdemeanors of resisting law enforcement and criminal recklessness.
