STEVENSVILLE, Mich. -- The Cracker Barrel restaurant on W. Marquette Woods Road was evacuated after a car crashed into the side of the building and into the store, according to Lincoln Township Police.
Around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, a 93-year-old man was backing out of a parking spot when he backed into another vehicle, police said.
He then put the car in drive and mistakenly hit the gas, according to police.
The car jumped the curb and went through the wall of the building. It came to a rest in the store.
Although there were no injuries, the driver was taken to Lakeland in St. Joseph, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
Alcohol was not a factor, police said.
The Cracker Barrel will remain closed the rest of the day.
