Car collides with semi after failing to stop at red light, both drivers hospitalized

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- On Monday, multiple agencies responded to a crash between a semi-truck and a car at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive in Marshall County.
Plymouth and Marshall County police officers responded to the call that came in around 3:15 p.m., when they arrived on scene they found the driver of a white 2017 Honda Accent, James A. Sapp of Plymouth, to have minor abrasions on his head and face.
Authorities say Arthur E. Jones, of Pine Apple, Alabama, was driving a 2022 semi-truck east on U.S. 30 and attempting to turn on to Pioneer Drive when Sapp failed to stop at the red light, causing the collision.
Jones complained of back pain and both drivers were taken by Plymouth EMS to St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth.
