ORIGINAL STORY: BOURBON, Ind. -- The Bourbon Volunteer Fire Department has evacuated 1.5 blocks to the north of 400 Block E Center Street due to a gas leak.

According to the fire department's Facebook page, the cause of the leak was due to a main line being hit.

The fire department stated in their post that Triton Schools have been inspected and that the halls show no readings, but they were instructed to shelter in place and no outside recess or physical education. NIPSCO is also at the scene, and they are waiting for the parts to arrive to fix the issue.
