Bristol man accused of leading deputies on chase in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – A Bristol man was arrested after allegedly leading deputies on a chase on Thursday, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office announced.

At 9:45 p.m. on June 9, deputies responded to a vehicle chase that started in Warsaw and ended when the driver lost control and crashed the vehicle near East County Line Road and 2B Road.

After crashing the vehicle, the driver allegedly ran from the scene.

K9 Diesel was deployed and found the driver hiding under a fallen tree and submerged underwater in a swamp.

The driver, identified as 27-year-old Ryan Kreft, was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail on the following charges:

  • Resisting law enforcement using a vehicle
  • Resisting law enforcement by fleeing on foot
  • Criminal recklessness
  • Reckless driving
  • Driving while suspended – prior
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Theft of a motor vehicle
  • Active warrants

Information was forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor for review of the offenses committed in Marshall County.
