UPDATE: Three injured in Eddy Street Commons shooting, violent crimes unit investigating
UPDATE: Around 1 a.m., South Bend Police Officers heard gunfire coming from the area of Eddy Street Commons.
Two victims were located on scene, one near the 1100 block of E. Angela Boulevard, and another south on Eddy Street, and a third victim self-transported to the hospital
All three victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Several hundred people were at Eddy Street Commons when the shooting occurred, and no other injuries have been reported.
The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has taken over this investigation and is continuing to conduct interviews and process evidence.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are responding to a shooting at Eddy Street Commons. The call came in just after midnight; there are reports of multiple victims with varying injuries. Individuals have been detained, but their involvement is unknown at this time.
