Boots on the Bend festival happening at St. Joseph County Fairgrounds this weekend

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Country music stars Eric Church and Hardy are just some of the performers for the Boots on the Bend Country Music Festival happening Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15 at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds.

Visit South Bend Mishawaka Communications Manager Jena Stopczynski says the concert is happening rain or shine, so be prepared for possible weather changes.

The event is set to bring 10-12,000 locals and visitors to the fairgrounds, but it also supports local businesses. Stopczynski says their goal is to bring more events like this one to the region so people can experience all St. Joe County has to offer.

"So if you're a local or someone in from out of town and maybe you're not going to Boots on the Bend until the afternoon, ArtBeat is happening in downtown South Bend this Saturday. So you can kind of combine some fun things in your weekend. Ninja Mayhem at Ironworks Plaza. Blades on the Bend is happening on Sunday at Ice Box Skating Rink, which is fun. They're going to do a country skate and broomball and some fun things in tandem with Boots on the Bend." says Stopczynski.

The country festival will have food and drinks available at the fairgrounds. The event will be cashless. One chair per person is allowed to be brought into the event. Outside food is not permitted.
