Body pulled from St. Joseph River in downtown South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A man's body was discovered in the St. Joseph River in downtown South Bend Thursday afternoon. 

The deceased is a white male.

It was reported by a witness who saw the body float to the surface and called police.

The South Bend Fire Department pulled the male from the water.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
