Blood donations needed at the South Bend Medical Foundation

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Medical Foundation is asking the public to make appointments to donate blood, as the community faces a shortage of collections.

“At the current supply levels an unexpected event such as a car accident or emergency surgery could quickly deplete certain blood types. This is a concern that impacts the entire community,” says Mary Ankrapp, Blood Donor Recruitment Supervisor

Donors must be at least 17 years old or 16 with parental consent and weigh at least 110 pounds.

Click here or call 574-234-1157 to find out where you can make an appointment. As a thank you, donors will receive a $15 gift certificate for Mimmo’s Pizza and entered into a raffle to one a $50 gift card when they donate.
