'Blessing of the Pets' event coming to South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- "Blessing of the Pets" taking place at St. Mary's Church, 1601 W. Sample St., South Bend, the event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Oct 5. 

Everyone in the community is invited to bring their pets to receive an individual blessing and prayers for health and happiness.

Pets can be kept in their car, on a leash, or in a carrier. They will not mix with other animals.

This year they will have Special Prayers at 12:00 for owners of recently departed pets.

There is no cost for this event.

We welcome donations of pet food, pet supplies, and toys which will be donated to Pet Refuge.
