Bitter cold weather ahead; temperatures fall through the weekend, 20s to teens to single digits. South Bend has not dropped below zero this season; the best chance of that happening is next Tuesday morning. The coldest day will be Monday, MLK Jr. Day, the wind chill will be subzero most the day. There will be light snowfall through the weekend, with most of the lake effect falling across West Michigan. Berrien County could get upwards of four inches through Monday.
