BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- The Benton Harbor Area Schools Board of Education announced that new superintendent has been approved for a three-year contract.
Dr. Simone Griffin officially begins her role as BHAS Superintendent on Monday, July 28.
“As your newly appointed superintendent, I am incredibly excited to become a member of Tiger Nation,” said Dr. Griffin. “Together with our dedicated educators, engaged families, and supportive community, we will build upon Benton Harbor's already remarkable commitment to excellence and transform our district into a national flagship where students don't just learn academics, but learn to embrace who they are and who they're meant to become,” said Dr. Griffin.
Dr. Simone aligned with the district's priorities, including improving student retention and recruitment.
