Berrien County Courthouse to be closed Tuesday

The Berrien County Courthouse will be closed on Tuesday after an administrative order was issued by the Berrien County Trial Court.

The business offices of the court will be closed to the public because of the shooting.

The business offices of the Berrien County Trial Court in St. Joseph and Niles, as well as the Juvenile Center and Berrien County Friend of the Court will be closed on Tuesday.

All in-custody arraignments and emergency matters will be conducted.

Notice of the court closure and how emergency matters and filings during the closure will be given to the public, the court's funding unit and other affected agencies and offices. Notice includes a sign posted at the court.
