Benton Harbor resident killed in shooting at Blossom Acres

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- The Benton Charter Township Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night at the Blossom Acres Housing Complex.

Officers responded to a call at 10:14 p.m. regarding a shot individual. The BTPD said there was a shots fired call at the complex prior to this call.

Upon entering the premises, they located 20-year-old Antoine Fox and began providing medical assistance before emergency personnel arrived. Fox was deemed dead at the scene.

Witnesses stated that Fox showed up at a relative’s apartment to tell his family he had been shot before collapsing.

Fox had sustained gunshot wounds to his back and right leg.

Benton Township Police have not located or identified a suspect at this time.
