Armed robbery suspect found hiding in restaurant bathroom
UPDATE: In October 2023, Thomas pleaded guilty of robbery as part of a plea agreement. His charge for armed robbery was dismissed as part of the agreement. Thomas was sentenced to four years, with two years suspended and two years on probation.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A teenager was arrested in a restaurant bathroom after stealing clothes from a nearby store, according to the South Bend Police Department.
Travion Thomas, 19, was arrested on two counts of armed robbery.
Just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, police were called to the Walmart on Ireland Road for the incident.
When employees tried to stop Thomas, he allegedly lifted his shirt to reveal a gun, put his finger on the trigger and said, “I don’t think so,” according to reports.
He was seen running toward a nearby restaurant before police arrived.
Inside the restaurant, police found clothes Thomas was seen wearing.
They went inside the women’s bathroom and found him locked inside a stall.
He was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
