BENTON HARBOR, Mich.—Antwan Mims was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Monday for his role in the deaths of Michael Johnson and Cortez Miller, who were shot to death at a house party in March 2018 in Benton Harbor.
Mims has filed paperwork to appeal his sentence. He did not make a statement after the sentencing.
Mims was found guilty of two counts of first degree premeditated murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and two felony weapons counts on February 15.
FBI agents arrested Mims in College Park, Georgia on July 31, 2018 after he was placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.
